In the Linux 6.8 release three new system calls were introduced to make using Linux Security Modules easier in user space. While it would be possible to leave in details of invoking these system calls to the applications that will call them, that would discourage their use. We have begun implementation of a library, liblsm, to provide user friendly interfaces for these system calls. This library also simulates the new system calls for systems that do not support them. This talk describes the current design philosophy for the library, how it uses the old /proc interfaces to simulate the system calls and how it might be expanded in the future. https://github.com/cschaufler/liblsm.git
